Sleepyhead Unapproved Ebay Sale

Mean while this isn't completely illegal I do find the price to be a bit to much.  This software being sold is actually available for free on the internet. The software is called Sleepyhead by Mark Watkins. By no means was the author of this software notified about this ad.  If you suffer from Sleep Apnea everybody wants that quick fix and usually end up having to spend a lot of money.  My reasoning for posting this is support of the developer who isn't even making money off the sale and of course to save you from spending your money on this. In AU it costs $49.50 and in Canadian this will cost you $65.34 and the shipping will cost you $13.07.  Once again the author of this software has nothing to do with the listing so stay away.

If you want to put in a complaint to the listing you can visit the listing here:

If you'd like to get the software completely free its available at Mark Watkins website here:

Evolve Network Driver Compatibility Fix (Windows 10)

If you don't know what Evolve is its an interesting software that allows you to play games that no longer support online multiplayer.  By doing this though the game has to support LAN play.  How this works is you go to www.evolvehq.com sign up and download the software.  One you download the software and install it then you will have to login and create a room.  Your first time setting up a room you will be asked to install a driver for the virtual network.  Once you have done that you would usually be able to create your room and you'd see a network IP and anybody else who joins will have one to which means they are part of your virtual network.

Of course there is compatibility issues though and I believe this happens only with Windows 10 however it could be added to Windows 7 and 8 as well but not sure.  Well this fix is quite simple and all you need to do is edit the driver in device manager.  So all your going to need to do is set your settings accordingly to the screenshots you see below.  Before you begin make sure you open your room first and install the driver then make sure Evolve is closed after doing the fix it then should start working without a hassle.

Okay so the first screenshot will show you the current issue you are having and the following pictures will show you how to resolve the problem:

Now your going to want to open device manager by right clicking the start button:

Now in device manager go to Network Device  and expand it and right click on Evolve Virtual Ethernet Adapter and go to properties:

Now that your in properties go the advanced tab go to MTU and copy the value to the right and paste it in the MAC address:

Now go back to Evolve and open your room you should see those errors fixed from the first screenshot above:

There you go now you can play all your favorite games that you used to enjoy online that support LAN network tunneling.  As you can see in the picture its compatible with most classic games like Street Racing Syndicate, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and many more.  They are currently working on version 2 of Evolve which is in beta but may fix this current issue.

Super Stars V8 and WRC 3 Stuttering Fix (Windows and Nvidia Cards)

Well I have had this issue in a few games and didn't realize that the fix was right in front of my eyes.   Well not quite in front of my eyes but not that far that it was that difficult to setup.  Okay so what your going to want to do to solve this problem is open up the launchers for whatever game you have.  Next your going to want to go to the video options and use the screenshot below to match your settings.  Both WRC 3 and Super Stars V8 have similar looking options.

Make the options look like this and select whatever resolution you want to use:

Okay so once you have those options in place next your going to want to open up Nvidia Control Panel and go to the Manage 3D Settings section and go to the Program Settings tab.  Now look for WRC 3 and Super Stars V8 and use the following settings.  Remember that some of these settings may not work well with lower end cards but I'm using a Nvidia Geforce 480 GTX and it works pretty good.  If you want to make the game run better change the Anti-Aliasing setting to a lower setting that works well with your card.

Change only the settings that show and there maybe  some settings missing those are not important:

There you go now you can play your game without any screen tearing and stuttering.  Oh and this may work for other games in the Milestone library.

Xbox One Controller Compatibility Fix (Windows)

I'm not an owner of an Xbox One controller I'm still using the old Xbox 360 controller but hey they work fine... Anyways I have a friend who owns the Xbox One controller and he had issues using with the Batman Arkham series games.  Now it took a bit for him to figure out as well as others cause there is literally no information over the internet sharing how to solve the problem.   I took my time and figured it out and all it needs is an update.  Of course when you first install the controller to a computer with Windows it will automatically install a driver.

When this happens we usually think a device would work out of the box and being a controller it should.  However there is driver updates for a reason and usually that is to add support for more games.  Now of course this has fixed compatibility for the Batman Arkham series but it should work for other games that have the same issues.  All you need to do is to download the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10.  Now all you need to do is open the software and update the driver.  It may do it automatically though I'm not 100% sure cause I don't have the software but it should be straight forward.

With Windows 7 through 8 you'll need to search for the driver in Device Manager by right clicking on the Xbox One Controller and selecting update driver software.  Once this is complete you should now be able to play the Batman Arkham series as well as other games that had issues using the Xbox One Controller.

Sega Rally Revo Fix PC (Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10)

Well I'm sure you all know by now Microsoft released a patch to remove DRM CD/DVD checks.  Now of course if you seen my last video you are aware that it will render some games unplayable.

Of course when you come to my blog you know that I always have a fix.  For Sega Rally Revo yes your going to need some No CD patches but of course I can't give you a link to them cause I do not promote piracy.

However I may also warn you that most if not all sites that host these sort of patches may come with security risks and could give you a virus and I do not hold any responsibility if this does anything to your computer.  I think there is only one No CD Patch available on the web and I can't even give the name to that cause again it kind of promotes piracy... so your on your own there.

Once you find the No CD patch your going to want to paste them into your root Sega Rally Revo folder.  Now like I said there may only be one patch available on the net and if I am correct its the European version.  That isn't at all bad it is compatible with the American version of Sega Rally Revo but your going to have to make a very small adjustment for it to work and we will get to that a bit later.

First were going to want to edit the names of the current patches so it works with the Sega Rally Launcher.  Rename the following Sega Rally.exe to Sega Rally Revo.exe and Sega Rally_SSE1.exe to Sega Rally Revo_SSE1.exe.  Now the launcher will open the game except you'll notice the game playing in a lower resolution.  As I said earlier we have to make a small adjustment and that will allow you to play in higher resolutions.

It should look like this

The European version of Sega Rally Revo is actually called Sega Rally.  Very simplistic but hey at least its keeping to the formula.  So we have to fix the save folder in the documents folder.  Your going to want to rename the folder Sega Rally Revo to Sega Rally.  That is all you have to do then everything shall work out of the book and you'll be able to play your game.

Its actually quite funny how I figured it out cause I own a copy of Sega Rally 95 for PC and it created a Sega Rally save folder in the documents.  I kind of figured Sega Rally Revo was reading off that hense the games name being Sega Rally in Europe.   Well anyways I hope you had a good read and enjoyed this tutorial and now enjoying Sega Rally Revo on your PC.  I am very upset with Microsoft for removing the DRM from Windows but hey if there is a fix there is a way and this is it.

(UPDATE) If the config program doesn't setup your resolution you may have to edit the config file manually.  The config file is placed: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\SEGA Rally\Saved Games.
Edit the following lines HorizontalResolution=1920
                                       VerticalResolution=1080

It must be the Sega Rally folder not Sega Rally Revo cause it uses the PAL Europe patch.

(UPDATE 02/18/2018)

If there is no config file in the Sega Rally folder you can create one.

Right click in the Sega Rally/Saved Games in the Documents folder and create new txt.

Right click rename the new text file to "config.ini"

Open the config.ini file and paste the following information.

[GameController]
GUID=
Mapping=000100010000000100000000-0000-0000-0000-0000000000000000000E000F001200130014000200030017001800010000
[Graphics]
AdapterOrdinal=0
RenderDevice=Hardware
AdapterFormat=X8R8G8B8
HorizontalResolution=1920
VerticalResolution=1080
ResolutionFilter=1
BackBufferFormat=A8R8G8B8
DepthStencilFormat=D24S8
AntiAliasingLevel=203
MultisampleType=8
MultisampleQuality=2
GraphicQuality=3
ShadowQuality=2
ReflectionQuality=2
TrackQuality=3
TextureQuality=2
ShaderQuality=1
DrawDistanceQuality=2
ParticleQuality=2
RearViewMirrorQuality=2
MudQuality=1
VSync=1
ShaderVersion=2
RefreshRate=60

Save the file exit and the game will run in 1920x1080 if you want to change the resolution change the following lines and exit and save.

HorizontalResolution=1920
VerticalResolution=1080

The game should now run with no problems.

Don't forget to run the game with Sega Rally.exe or Sega Rally_SSE1.exe.  The Sega Rally Revo Launcher.exe does not work and will crash.  Possibly not creating a config file.
